ABOUT ME
I am a fully registered, qualified childminder with over 10 years experience working with children and families. I have been fortunate to have children from the full range of ages under my care, I am a conscientious carer who ensures the children in my care receive the best support and guidance to develop in all aspects a young mind needs to flourish.
I take pride in a well maintained, clean and safe child friendly home. I have a 11 year old daughter of my own, she is a lovely outgoing friendly child who loves socializing with the children in my care.
I am very dedicated to to my career of choice, I love working with children and I enjoy seeing them change and develop as they grow.
I am currently working to complete my Level 3 in Forest Schooling, which will be followed by
Montessori accreditation.
I have completed my Level 3 in Home-based Childcare, as well as a Level 3 in Communication with under 5’s.
I am also accredited which enables me to accept government funding.
I also hold an up to date Pediatric First Aid Certificate and certificates in Food Hygiene, Behavior Management, Safeguarding Children, Playing Together and Talking to Under 5’s, amongst others.
Since 2010 I have completed the following courses and certifications: Advanced Safeguarding, Behaviour Management, Child Development Course, DHC Unit 1-5 ICP, First Aid, Equal Opportunities/Diversity, EYFS training, Fire Safety Management, Food Hygiene, Forest Schools – Practical, Makaton, MEND, Planning through observation, Playing Together, Safeguarding, SEF Workshop, SEN Code of Practice, Talk to Under 5’s.
I have also attended the following conferences: EY Conference – Listen, Talk and Smile, EY Conference – Physical, EY Conference – PSED, EY Conference – Marvellous maths, EY Conference – Literacy in the early years, EY Conference – Understanding the world, EY Conference – Expressive arts & design, Provider’s information evening, EY Conference – Enabling environments
